H.E. Massimiliano Mazzanti, Ambassador of Italy to Uganda, paid a farewell courtesy call on Honourable Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakhar, Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry Headquarters. During the meeting, Hon, Gen. Odongo acknowledged the significant role played by H.E. Massimiliano in strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two Countries. Hon. Minister expressed appreciation for the Ambassador's dedication and efforts in promoting bilateral relations, enhancing trade and investment, and fostering cultural exchanges. Hon, Gen. Odongo commended Italy's support for Uganda's development initiatives, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, education, and healthcare. Hon. Minister highlighted the positive impact of joint projects and programs, including technical assistance, capacity building, and exchange of expertise. In response, H.E. Massimiliano expressed gratitude for the cooperation and warm hospitality received during his tenure. Furthermore he stressed the importance of the longstanding friendship between Uganda and Italy and praised Uganda's efforts in promoting peace and stability in the region. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to continuing the close collaboration between Uganda and Italy.
