SENEGALESE AMBASSADOR PRESENTS COPIES OF HIS CREDENTIALS TO HON. OKELLO ORYEM Hon. Okello Oryem, Minister of Foreign Affairs (International Affairs), this morning officially received copies of letters of Credence from the new Ambassador Designate of the Republic of Senegal to Uganda, H.E Ndongo Dieng at the Ministry Headquarters. The Hon. Minister congratulated Ambassador Dieng upon his appointment. He expressed his warm welcome and conveyed his wishes for a successful tenure to Ambassador. Hon. Minister further acknowledged the long-standing diplomatic relationship between Senegal and Uganda and emphasized the shared commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, agriculture, and education. In presenting his credentials to the Hon. Minister, Ambassador Dieng conveyed a message of gratitude for the warm reception accorded to him further expressing his commitment to working closely with the Ministry in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Uganda and Senegal. He informed the Minister that H.E Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal will be visiting Uganda on 18th and 19th July, 2023. Hon. Oryem re-affirmed the Ministry's necessary support to the Ambassador in the execution of his duties and said that the Ministry will make all necessary arrangements for a successful State Visit and wished him a successful tour of duty.
