The PS/MFA , Hon Vincent Bagiire held series of meetings at the Secretariat of Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority(NCTTCA) and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in Mombasa.
The meetings focused at strengthening collaborations and working relationships btn NCTTCA & KPA and Uganda . PS/MFA met with the Ag. Executive Secretary of the NCTTCA,Dr. Elias Leju Leirnado and the Managing Director of KPA,Capt William.K. Ruto and other Senior Officials from KPA and NCTTCA. Key among the areas agreed to be established for collaboration included trade facilitation,transboundary infrastructural development and capacity building among others.NTBs have been reduced and now the number of weighing bridges between Mombasa and Nairobi stand at only one. PS/MFA was accompanied by Amb.Richard Kabonero/Coordinator of Northern Corridor Integration Projects(MOFA)and CG.Amb.Paul Mukumbya plus other officials from MOFA and Consulate General in Mombasa.
