GEN. ODONGO EMPHASIZES NEED FOR FOREIGN SERVICE TO CONTRIBUTE TO UGANDA'S DEVELOPMENT ASPIRATIONS

Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakhar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has urged Ugandan Ambassadors and Heads of Missions abroad to align the Ministry's work with Uganda's National Development framework, including Vision 2040 and the Third National Development Plan. Speaking at the opening of the Ambassadors' Conference running from 26th - 30th August 2024, Gen. Odongo emphasized the need for Uganda's foreign policy to drive economic growth and regional integration.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Maama Janet Museveni have today welcomed the King of Eswatini, His Majesty, Mswati III at Entebbe International Airport. His Majesty, Mswati III who is in Uganda for a three-day State Visit at the invitation of President Museveni was accompanied by his wife, Queen Inkhosikati Make Lamashwama and other high-level delegates. At Entebbe International Airport, President Museveni was flanked by Ministers and service chiefs.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today met and held discussions with the Transitional President of Gabon, H.E Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema at State House, Entebbe. H.E Nguema is in Uganda for a two- day official visit at the invitation of President Museveni. He was accompanied by the First Lady of Gabon, H.E Zita Oligui Nguema and other high-level delegates.
