Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakhar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has urged Ugandan Ambassadors and Heads of Missions abroad to align the Ministry's work with Uganda's National Development framework, including Vision 2040 and the Third National Development Plan. Speaking at the opening of the Ambassadors' Conference running from 26th - 30th August 2024, Gen. Odongo emphasized the need for Uganda's foreign policy to drive economic growth and regional integration.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today met and held discussions with the Transitional President of Gabon, H.E Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema at State House, Entebbe. H.E Nguema is in Uganda for a two- day official visit at the invitation of President Museveni. He was accompanied by the First Lady of Gabon, H.E Zita Oligui Nguema and other high-level delegates.

The President of Gabon, H.E Brice Oligui Nguema has today arrived in Uganda for a three- day private visit. The visiting Gabonese President is accompanied by the First Lady of Gabon, Mrs. Zita Oligui Nguema and a high-level delegation comprising the Deputy Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers.

Day 2 of the ongoing Northern Corridor Integration Projects (NCIPs), cluster meetings for Single Customs Territory and the Technical Officials’ Meeting of the Immigration, Tourism, Trade, Labour, and Services (ITTLS) Cluster at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Kigali, marked a pivotal moment in implementation of the directives from the 14th NCIPs Heads of State Summit.
