On 5th October 2023 , Hon. John Mulimba, Minister of Foreign affairs in charge of Regional affairs arrived in Juba, South Sudan a upon an invitation of the Hon. Minister of Foreign affairs of South Sudan. He was received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The two Ministers held a meeting to Discuss on Bilateral issues and mutual interest of both Friendly countries. During the Meeting , the Ministers agreed that the Establishment Mechanism of MOUs signed between two countries to be revived.

The Uganda - UAE Business Forum is set to be held in Kampala next week for the very first time. The Forum is an annual event aimed at attracting Foreign Direct Investment, promoting Uganda's exports in UAE, promotion of tourism, attraction of technology transfers, projecting a positive image of Uganda. The 2nd Edition of the Forum will be held from 10 - 13 October 2023 in Kampala, Uganda at the Speke Resort and Conference Center, Munyonyo under the theme "Uganda; the gateway of the UAE to the EAC region".

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reassured Algerian investors that Uganda is ready to cooperate with them in boosting trade and investment between the two countries that have had a long-standing relationship since the 1960s. “This historical relationship now can turn into an economy and prosperity for our people. Prosperity has two parts; the producer of a good or a service and the other part is a consumer because if I produce and nobody buys, I cannot be prosperous. So really our pockets are instruments of empowerment,” H.E Museveni said.

Earlier to day MSFA/RA Hon . John Mulimba held a meeting with H.E Vladlen Semivolos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uganda. The two discussed bilateral issues between the two nations including a follow-up on agreed positions taken during the recent Russia-Africa Summit held in July,2023

The MSFA/RA Hon. John Mulimba held a meeting & bid farewell to H.E Epiphanic Kabushemeye - Ntamwana, outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Burundi to Uganda at the Ministry Headquarters, Kampala. The two discussed bilateral issues between the two nations including the immigration challenges faced by the short visa period given to Burundian citizens to Uganda and the depending allocation of prime land for the construction of the embassy of Burundi in Kampala.

H.E the President of the Republic of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, this morning at State House Entebbe, welcomed the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of the Republic of the Sudan, H.E Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. They deliberated on bilateral and regional issues.

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba. They exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and other topical issues of mutual interest. The two sides signed MoUs on Regular Diplomatic Consultations and in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation.
